Iver Bridge lad wins the Group 3 comfortably by 2.5l. On a wet November day in Paris, the ground became very soft, making the 6 furlongs an exciting challenge. Drawn 15 of 16, Iver took a middle position within the farside split of horses, and kept on strongly to draw clear and win confidently. Patiently ridden by Michael O’Connell at the 1 furlong mark, he coaxed Iver Bridge lad to the front and drew clear.

Focail Eile ridden by Freddie Tylicki wins the Mile series final handicap by 3.25l. Taking the outside route Focail Elie was always in touch, and reaching the final furlong he went into the lead to stay on really well in the final 110 yards. A fantastic result for the John Ryan Racing team.

Final Drive finishes 3rd in the 1M Handicap at Meydan, ridden by Jamie Spencer. He travelled well towards the rear and gradually increased his tempo tracking the eventual winner around the outside of the field. He was only beaten a nose for 2nd and 1l to the winner. We look forward to seeing him again on the Tapeta surface.

Final Drive scores his 6th win in 6 weeks! Ridden today by Jamie Spencer this consistent and genuine horse has proven he is the one to beat. Held up towards the rear he took a wide outside path to run on well over 2f out. Final Drive soon chased the leaders and he was driven into the lead approaching the final furlong, where he ran on strongly to the finish line. The winning distance was 2l.

Iver Bridge lad finishes 4th, another battling race only to be beaten 0.5l at Doncaster on Saturday 6th November, the final day of the turf. Ridden by Andrew Beschizza claiming 5lb off the 9-10 top weight a very creditable race once again by this tough horse. Another great performance and wonderful run from this very consistant horse.

Ocean’s Minstrel finished very strongly to be placed 4th only beaten 2 .75l in the prestigous Cesarewitch Handicap. He was travelling mid-division on the inside, and 3f out he did not have a clear run through so had to switch right across to the far side, he was staying on under pressure 1f out and did not quite get to the leaders in time for the line. Martin Lane took the ride.
