John Ryan Racing has a high quality facility and uses the latest training methods, backed by a long family tradition of racing success and accomplishments.
Location
Cadland Stables occupies a prime position at the foot of Warren Hill in Newmarket, Bury side. The gates of the yard open onto to 2500 acres of training grounds. The incredible range of facilities include: 50 miles of turf gallops & canters, including 5 peat moss gallops. 14 miles of all weather polytrack & Mactrac canters and gallops. Practise starting stalls are situated on both grass and all weather canters.
There are 6 all weather canters and several grass canters less than half a mile from our yard. Enabling us to offer all year round training to achieve maximum fitness levels for both flat and jump racing.

Swimming
Access to modern equine swimming facilities created specifically for hydrotherapy and training.
Laser and pulse magnetic field therapy
As part of our commitment to providing quality, leading-edge care, these laser and pulse magnetic field therapy systems allow us to treat minor injuries quickly and effectively, preventing further damage and so helping to maintain fitness levels. We make use of the portable systems offered by Centurion Systems.

Excellent schooling ground
Yet another advantage of our location is the easy access to the Newmarket Links schooling ground which offers loose schooling, poles, hurdles, French hurdles and fences for excellent jump training.

The Ryan family and Rossdale and Partners Veterinary Surgeons have been working closely together for the last 30 years. Situated near to the stables, Rossdale and Partners are one of the most highly regarded equestrian veterinary establishments in the world.

Lunge pit
The Polytrack surface lunge pit is most beneficial during the breaking of young horses. The lunge pit is located adjacent to the yard.
Double trotting ring
Just a 3 minute walk from the yard, all warm up work takes place here prior to using the canters.
Private Facility
A short drive from Cadland Stables Newmarket we have turn out paddocks, an American stabling barn and a horse walker. These facilities enable us to take horses away from their training regime, and relax. We use this set up for horses on a holiday break or resting due to injury.
